September 2009: Mark Your Diary – 28/11/2009

Our club Christmas function has been scheduled for Saturday, 28 November and we hope to see many of our members join us for an opportunity to have plenty of laughs, sample a few bevies and tuck into a lovely Christmas themed dinner.
The plan for Napier members is for the club to provide a bus to collect you from various points along Kennedy Road commencing at Balmoral shopping centre at 4.30pm and finishing at Lee Road, Taradale (same pick up points used for our lunch Xmas 2008). Guests will be transported to Puketapu Park for a “mystery activity” which should commence at approximately 5.00pm.
Following the conclusion of the activity (6.15pm), guests will be transported to the Duke of Gloucester where pre dinner drinks can be enjoyed in the garden bar prior to proceeding to the function room for dinner – scheduled at 7.30pm.
Once you are all full of food and wine, the bus will take guests back along Kennedy Rd to the pickup points or possibly to your home if on route!!! The time is yet to be determined but I would imagine it will be in the vicinity of 10.30pm –obviously you have the option to kick on and then make your own way home!!!
The cost of the meal is $40.00 per person and this amount must be paid prior to arrival as the Duke doesn’t have EFTPOS facilities in the function room and they prefer to handle just one account. A cash bar is however available for you to purchase refreshments as required. Confirmation of those attending and payment is required by your club captain no later than Monday, 23 November 2009.
We welcome Hastings members to join us however will leave your committee to sort out any transport arrangements if required.
Oh by the way ladies…… miniskirts, high heels or hip hugging skirts are seriously not recommended for this event!!!! Same goes for you men…….
